As I steadily approach my 30s most of my peers are either getting engaged, married, or having a baby. One of the girls in my “crew” is having a baby! Originally she didn’t want to have a baby shower so we decided to sprinkle her baby with love and affection instead!
Planning an event with eight other women with countless personalities was annoying at times but truly fun. One of the challenges with planning a brunch is having tasty and healthy options but also having some of those guilty pleasures. So what was on the menu? We had homemade quiches, mini pancakes, fruits, bacon, sausage, chicken wings, croissants, veggie platter, fruit platter, and last but not least…. my infamous yogurt parfaits!
I also made an iced tea using this new dragon fruit acai berry green tea from Lipton. I must say Lipton has been surprising me with their tea options. Using freshly brewed tea with ice is a great replacement for juice or soda.
All in all it was a good event!
Stay tuned for our May happenings later this week.
Until next time,
