Happy June

Happy June Everyone!!! 

Hope you’ve had a good start to the month. Summer is finally almost officially here.(Although winter seems to be acting like a ex-lover who just doesn’t want to give up! It’s been so cold the past few days! )There are so many food holidays and celebrations this month! We’re not going to let a little rain and 50° June weather stop us! So here’s what’s in store for June:

See I told you there’s a lot happening! This list doesn’t include all the food holidays, festivals, and fairs that are also happening.

  • Happy World Vegan Day!!! Today's lunch rice, chickpeas (channa) with spicy okra. The cucumbers and tomatoes don't really match the dish but I needed them to help balance out. The spice. Channa or chickpeas are a great source of plant based protein. 🍇
